First, a radiographic examination (x-ray) will be conducted to assess the position of the tooth roots and the condition of the surrounding bone. Our Calgary dentist team will also conduct a thorough medical and drug history to ensure that you are healthy enough to undergo the procedure. Usually, tooth extraction is carried out with local anesthesia, but other sedatives can also be administered when necessary. Whatever anesthesia or sedatives are used, we are committed to ensuring that you are comfortable and pain-free throughout the entire procedure. Once you are comfortable and frozen, our dentist will delicately remove your tooth while being careful not to damage the bone that surrounds it.
